"Eye Bolt Attachment Notice": The manufacturer specifies use of an auxiliary attachment point for vehicle loading. Check owners manual for location & specifications. : A shorter lug bolt of 20 mm (approx. ¾") located within the spare tire compartment MUST BE USED when installing a steel wheel spare tire (most are painted black) on Mercedes automobiles. Installing the steel spare wheel using the normal length lug bolts will cause expensive damage to the brake system.
