Tower Tip: IMPORTANT: Use wheel straps only to secure vehicle to the recovery vehicle! Do not use the tie-down brackets on the vehicle rear underbody. In time with the engine switched off, the vehicle body will drop due to settling of the air suspension system & cause the tie-down chains to become slack if connected to these brackets.A nylon strap placed around the front lower control arm may be used for loading & unloading. Electronic Parking Brake Procedure: If the vehicle battery is dead release the parking brake as follows. Connect jumper cables to the battery located in the right rear of the truck. Switch the ignition to position II. Place the transmission selector in Neutral. Depress the brake pedal & hold the Parking Brake switch (on center console) down while turning the ignition to the off position. The Electronic Parking Brake will remain disengaged when the jumper cables are removed. Use caution to block & secure vehicle against movement prior to using this procedure!
